I remember going to Spike Lee store in Brooklyn to get some cross colors and thought it was grossly over priced, I got it. Spike Lee has forgotten those days. Tyler Perry is the Spike Lee of his time, strides that Spike made in the film industry Tyler made in the tv industry. He brokered syndication deals while he was pitching his pilots. Just like Spike’s “She’s gotta have it”. My only beef is that brother aren’t talking directly to each other as “Men” face to face. Both deserve to be heard but not one over the other but in concert. Tyler could have used Spikes help in his script development and Spike could used Tyler’s business skill to put more black actor to work by doing joint project. Tyler’s audience and Spikes audience would probably not agree on anything except for their love of Black people. Let’s keep that I’m mind.
